Rick McLester is currently serving Aransas County as the Chief Deputy for the Aransas County Sheriff's Office. Chief Deputy McLester also serves as the Aransas County Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator for Aransas County and the Cities of Rockport and Fulton. Chief Deputy McLester has been involved with law enforcement since March of 1976. Through his 25 years with the county he has been a Code Enforcement Officer, a Deputy Constable, Patrol Deputy Sheriff, Criminal Investigator for the County Attorney, Chief Criminal Investigator for the Sheriff and past Chief Deputy Sheriff under Retired Sheriff Robert Hewes.

Chief Deputy McLester is a lifetime member of the Rockport Volunteer Fire Department (Past Fire Chief), member of the Rockport Lions Club (past president), Active member of the Rockport-Fulton Little League (Past President) through it's Challenger Division, member of the Rockport-Fulton Athletic Pirate Club (past president). Chief McLester was the recipiant of the Texas Peacemaker award for 2005 from the Sheriff's Association of Texas.

Chief McLester was born and raised in Aransas County. He is married with two children.
